Notebook ASUS k501J
Hi,
This notebook is fast, quit, multitasking, cool, perfect picture and has an awesome battery life.
Te only con I have found so far is the poor quality sound, even though the description
for this notebook on AMAZON's website said that it has Altec-Lansing premium sound
it does not work as expected.
A good deal at this price
For this price range below $600 buck, this laptop is considered to be the best deal I has made so far. Asus is known to be the top in gaming and multimedia computers. the touch pad is cool. For normal users, this comp is more than enough. however there is one point that make me rate this 4/5. that is the built-in intel GMA4500M integrated graphics. although the card is share with max capacity up to 2GB, I still catch some game delay.
In overall, the quality compared to the price is the main reason i would suggest this laptop.
This seems to be a great product!
I bought this laptop for my 15 year old grandson. He is technologically saavy, while I am not. He had been specific in telling me that he needed a large memory, and wanted some versatility. I cannot recall the terminology that he used, however he seems to be delighted with his computer and uses it constantly for World of Warcraft, AIM and school work. He talks to people all over the world on this computer, as he has some kind of set-up where he can carry on verbal conversations. While I wish it had come with longer battery life, HE doesn't seem challenged by that and hasn't mentioned having any problems. Since HE is happy, I am happy.

i am very happy with this pc and so far have not found anything i don't like about it. fast, sharp looking,and great value for the price.
Great Laptop at this price!
This is a solid performer for this price point. As with all Asus PCs I've purchased, solid build & minimal bloatware / trialware.
